Hello, my name is Kris Whitaker, and I am the copy editor for Grandly Missions. I earned a bachelors degree in computer science engineering from Michigan State University, then worked for Consumers Energy for eight years before raising my four children. Then, for thirteen years I worked as the records coordinator for Lumen Christi High School. Now I am a fulltime grandmother of three.
I have been on Grandly’s staff for 10 years and as a grandmother of four, I have experienced the importance of thinking, praying, and acting strategically in my grandchildren’s lives.
I am a lifelong resident of Jackson, Michigan, where I live with my loving husband Ron. When I do have a rare moment of free time, you will find me baking, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with family.
