Hello, my name is Mike Shaughnessy, and I am the founder of Grandly Missions. I received a bachelors degree in German and Theology and have been a youth worker since 1974.
I love to spend my free time writing. I have written extensively on youthwork, including For Such a Time as This, and The Kairos Youth Culture Newsletter and now on grandparenting: The Strategic Grandparent, The Christian Grandparent, and Eternity Bound. I am the author of several books of fiction, including: The Archangel of Westminster, The Red Madonna, The White Judas and I have also written two short stories: The Passover Sacrifice and Simeon’s Puzzle–A Prophet’s Reward.
Golf is my sport of choice, and you can often find me out on the course, spending quality time with friends. I am a member of The Servants of the Word Christian brotherhood, and I currently live with my fellow brothers in Maryland.
